 Easy setup and works well! September 2, 2008
Item arrived quickly and although the box was a bit heavy to get into the house, I opened it and assembled it in 2 minutes. I easily moved it outside and filled it with water, and Viola! - Worked well right from the git-go. The kids like playing in it, and I let them, knowing that if anything goes wrong I can clean out the filter per the enclosed instructions. So far, so good! I like that it is resin but looks like aged stone. Very nice.

The fountain looks great in my rose garden. I enjoy to watch birds which sit on the bath of the fountain and try to catch the water splash.

I'm very happy with the smart solar 2 tier fountain. It was so easy to assemble and works great! Of course, I couldn't place it in the garden where I originally wanted due to lack of sun, but, it was still worth it. Still waiting for the birds to flock to it. I have a sneaking suspicion that the lower tier is too deep so the birds will not really bathe in it. Also the upper tier does not really hold any water, it just flows right down to the lower tier. So, I don't know if I'll ever get to see birds using it, but it looks great, it works and does have that nice flowing water sound...when the sun is out...

I received this fountain as a Birthday gift from my Mom (I found it here on Amazon.com and she ordered it); Love it!! Looks great, was very easy to assemble and yes, it worked immediately. As mentioned, bright or direct sun light makes for the best conditions. Be sure to use distilled water in the fountain (not tap water) to prevent film or buildup.
