5 out of 5 stars Makes Florida water taste good!   September 5, 2008
I didn't think it would be able to take the terrible taste out of Florida tap water (which tastes like drinking from a pool) but it did. The result is water that tastes extremely like some of the big brand names from the supermarket.

The design is a bit funky but it was worth every penny. Try it! I'm very excited about all the money I'll be saving on bottled water.

4 out of 5 stars good but not perfect   August 4, 2008
Pitcher's handle is a bit awkward when pouring, top sometimes falls off if there is water in the top holding area, the "meter" telling you to change the filter is just a timer with no connection to the filter so you reall yhave to go by how the water is tasting to determine when to change the filter.

Otherwise works as designed, filters water quickly and efficiently.

5 out of 5 stars Brita Aqualux Pitcher "GREAT" product   June 20, 2008
Slim shape, fits great in frig. Easy to fill & change filters. I even make ice cubes from this pitcher's water. I use it to make coffee and it makes great tasting coffee. It removes alot of chemicals from the city water and I haven't had any health issues now that I use this Brita Aqualux water pitcher. Filter lasts a long time i've had mine over a month and i'm still using the same filter and it has 3 of the 4 bars to go yet before it needs to be changed. Try it you'll like it.

This is a terrific product. The water tastes better than any bottled water I've ever found, using a Brita leaves a very small carbon footprint (a new filter every 3 months is required) and it saves money and resources. I think by using the Brita we have not used over 1,500 plastic bottles in the course of a year.

5 out of 5 stars teen-approved!   May 22, 2008

I compared all the Britas and liked the streamlined design for my modern kitchen. It is also well balanced to fill and pour, and fits nicely in the fridge. But I think the "cool" shape helped in my real reason for getting it - to get my young teen daughter to drink more water! This seems more acceptable to her than just from the tap! (...even tho my city won the statewide blind test of water taste last year!)

I do have to remember to rinse the carbon dots from the well occasionally, but that's just an aesthetic issue for the fill-er (usually me, of course!)

I got the three extra filters along with to save money and having to think, later. I expect I will use them double the time because again, our water is actually pretty good! (Many cities are moving away from chlorine treatment and on to ozone.)
