Nature in your backyard June 8, 2007 The fountain was easy to assemble. It took me less than ten minutes. I love it and so do the birds. Make sure to check the water level and the solar panel is very sensitive. It's just what my yard needed.
Great addition for the yard! May 17, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I've had this birdbath/fountain in my yard for the past two months now, and I've been extremely happy with it. It works flawlessly, and is beautiful as well. I especially love the turtles. And having a fountain that runs on solar power (and therefore needs no power wired up to it) is particularly pleasing.
When the sun is out the fountain runs and sounds like a little brook. There is a slight underlying hum of the motor working when you are up close, but the birds are beginning to get used to it. Since it's a solar fountain it will not work unless the sun is shining directly on it, which is most of the day for me. I find it's a nice accent without having to rewire the whole yard to incorporate a fountain.
The only thing I would change about it is that I would prefer it to have a place to fill it with sand (and maybe there is but I missed it when putting it together) to make the unit heavier, but it's not as though it blows over anyway. I have already recommended this to my friends, and would buy it again myself.
The seller was prompt also. I had this fountain days before I expected it, and they were a LOT less expensive than other sites that carried the same fountain!
Nice Bird Bath March 31, 2007 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
We've had this bird bath out back since last summer. The birds enjoy it, adn we like watching them enjoy it. I would recommend following the instructions and not leaving it out over the winter months, too. It was mild most of the winter, and everything was fine, but it did get very cold in February, and I've just finished patching up 5 cracks that developed from the icy conditions. Needless to say, I won't leave it out in the elements next winter. The solar powered fountain portion is fun, but only works in direct sunlight, so pick a sunny spot for this birdbath.
Very Good November 12, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I would of rated this 5 stars if it had a motor to back it up to keep it running in bad weather but it does not. In bad weather or shaded weather it will not run, hence it is solar as stated. I found it easy to set up and the birds love it. In sunny weather it has worked wonderfully. It is truly beautiful and a wonderful addition to my yard. My family has enjoyed the wonderful show of birds acting like little motor boats in this bird bath.
Solar birdbath August 2, 2006 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I am very pleased with my solar birdbath. I wanted a small fountain and did not know they even came solar powered until I saw it on line. It only runs when the sun is directly on it but I really like it. Beats plugging it in
